When translations go wrong: half a chicken
Sunday, October 14th, 2007Sometimes you see signs that have been translated into German, only not quite translated correctly. This can have funny results. Take this example seen on Lanzarote:
The correct translation would be “ein halbes gebratenes Hähnchen”, ie. one half of a cooked chicken. Unfortunately a “Halb Gebraten Hahnchen” means one half-cooked chicken…
