The annual carnival procession through Oberursel takes places on Sunday, 19th February, 2012. Starting at 14:11, it will cross the market square and then continue its way through the old part of the town (Vorstadt) before heading down the Adenauerallee and back up the Austraße before finishing near the Rathaus.

The evangelical “Heilig Geist Church” community in Oberursel is holding a doughnut and coffee afternoon on Friday, 17th February, 2012 at 15.11. The Church is located in the Dornbachstraße and is within walking distance of the U-Bahn stop “Glöcknerwiese”.
There will be live music, typical carnival speeches (“Büttenreden”), and a visit from the carnival princes. Entry is free.

The annual carnival Karnevalssitzung in the St.Hedwig’s community in Oberursel is being held on Saturday, 11th February, 2012 in the Hedwigsheim (Freiherr-vom-Stein-Str. 8a).
The motto is “Büttenspass statt Wetten, dass…?’”, which doesn’t really translate into English that easily, but means that going there is more fun that watching Saturday evening television.
Music is being provided by the group “Nimm 2“.
The event begins at 20:11, doors open at 19:11 and tickets costs €9.

The Kurhaus in Bad Homburg will be celebrating the carnival season on Saturday, 5th March, 2011.
There will be games for children starting at 12 noon with a DJ and typical carnival speeches (Büttenredner) starting at 3pm.
