Medicine may have caused Blackout and accident

An accident at the “Drei Hasen” on Wednesday morning (6th February, 2013) may have been caused by the 75-year-old drive suffering a “blackout” after taking some form of medicine.

The Audi A6 crashed on the Homburger Landstraße whilst travelling towards Bad Homburg at high speed and without braking into a Mercedes Vito on the right-hand lane to Bommersheim.

Although the car was severely damaged, the Audi driver continued on his way and only stopped when he reached the “Zeilweg”.  From their he called the police himself.

His driving license was confiscated.  The damage is estimated at around €17,000.
