Couple robbed and attacked at home

A couple have been attacked and robbed at their home in the “An den Drei Hasen” area of Oberursel.

The 67-year-old occupant of the house opened the door at around 8.40am on Monday, 11th June, 2018, to let the cat in.  At this point two masked men forced their way into the house, where they punched the woman and demanded cash.  Shortly after this her 73-year-old husband arrived.  He was also punched and the demand for cash was repeated, along with a demand for jewelry. Lärchenweg closed for two weeks

The Lärchenweg will be closed from Monday, 11th June, until Friday, 22nd June, 2018, between houses 9 and 12 to allow work to take place on underground pipes.

Pedestrians and cyclists should still be able to pass the building site.

Book reading for children aged 4 and over

The story “Gemeinsam lesen macht Spaß” by Poppy Bishop is being read in the library on Thursday, 14th June, 2018 at 4pm by volunteer Edith Nikel-Ruppmann.

Tickets cost €2 and should be reserved in advance in the library or by calling 06171 62870.

Flea Market in the Adenauerallee

The flea market starts at the end of the pedestrian zone and continues the length of the Adenauerallee and over the railway lines towards Bommersheim. One part also takes place in the Nassauer Straße next to the U-Bahn tracks.

To get there by train take either the line U3 or S5 to Oberursel’s main station.

 

Stammtisch at the Seniorentreff

The Stammtisch is a place to discuss anything and everything that those attending wish to.

A charge of €7 per person will be made to cover the cost of food and drink and due to the limited number of places reservation by telephone (06171 585333) is requested.

Breakfast Buffet at the Seniorentreff

The Seniorentreff in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9) will be holding a breakfast buffet on Friday, 15th June 2018 between 9am and 10.30am, with food and drink costing €6 per person.

To take part, register in advance by calling 06171 585333 and leave a message on the answerphone if necessary.

3,000 step walk for senior citizens in Weißkirchen

A 3,000 step walk for senior citizens is taking place in Weißkirchen on Wednesday, 13th June 2018.

To take part, be at the “Altes Rathaus” (Urselbachstraße 59) at 9.30am.

Garages sprayed with graffiti

14 garages in the Mauerfeldstraße in Weißkirchen were sprayed with graffiti at some time before 8am on Tuesday, 5th June, 2018. Police report that the damage is estimated to cost several thousand Euros and that they do not know exactly when the spraying took place or have any clues as to who is responsible.
Witnesses are asked to call them on 06171 62400.

3,000 step walk for senior citizens in Stierstadt
