Ground-breaking ceremony held for the new Porsche centre

Porsche is coming to Oberursel!  That was the message last week Thursday (4th July, 2013) when the chairman of Porsche in Germany, Klaus Zellmer came to the down for the ground-breaking ceremony in the Willy-Brandt-Straße where the new Porsche centre is being built.

The centre will be known as “Porschezentrum Bad Homburg/Oberursel” and will create 25 new jobs in sales and service on 6,800 square metres of land.  It will be run by Otto Glöckler Sportwagen GmbH who also run the Porsche centre in Frankfurt and who are investing €5.5 million in the new centre.

Oliver Glöckler explained that they had looked at several sites in the Taunus area, but had chosen Oberursel because of the good infrastructure and connection to the A661 motorway. [Read more…]
