Der 24 Stunden Supermarkt in Puerto del Carmen, von dem wir schon berichtet haben, hat nun expandiert nach Orzola.
Orzola liegt ganz im Nord-Osten der Insel und wird gerne besucht um für den Tag nach La Graciosa fahren. Nun können die Besucher ihre wichtigen Dinge auch kaufen, wenn sie wieder zurück auf der Hauptinsel sind, wann auch immer die Fähre ankommt.
Weihnachtskrippe is the name given to a Nativity scene in Germany, often found in town centres during advent. It depicts the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.
Many families have their own model Weihnachtskrippe at home. Some of these are self-made, others have been collected over a period of time with a new figure being added each year. Typically, these are also passed down through the generations.
Surprisingly, they were banned in churches at the end of the 18th Century.

The 24-hour self-service supermarket that we reported on previously in Puerto del Carmen has now been extended to Orzola.
Located in the far north-east of the island, Orzola is popular with visitors crossing to the smaller island of La Graciosa for the day. Now they can buy their essential supplies after returning to the mainland whatever time the ferry gets in.
