Als wir von dem 24Stunden Einkaufsautomat gehört hatten, mussten wir ihn einfach selbst ausprobieren.

Das Menü war einfach zu bedienen und unser Einkauf wurde schnell geliefert. Aber ich hatte das Gefühl, dass die 2000 Artikel eher danach ausgesucht worden sind, um verschiedene Artikel im Angebot zu haben, als verschiedene Marken vom gleichen Artikel.

Das ist sicherlich etwas Besonderes für diejenigen die etwas zu Hause vergessen haben, eine Zahnbürste zum Beispiel, und sind froh zu jeder Tages und Nachtzeit so eine Möglichkeit zu haben.

Wenn jemand aber etwas spezielles sucht, ist es vielleicht doch besser den Supermarkt in Puerto del Carmen, der direkt nebenan ist, während der Öffnungszeiten zu besuchen.

Trying out 24 hour shopping

Having read about the 24 hour supermarket machine, we just had to try it out for ourselves.

The menu was easy to operate, and our purchase was delivered quickly.  But I had a feeling, that the 2000 items had been selected to give a wide variety of types of item, rather than trying to offer different brands of the same item.

This is obviously an attraction for those who have left something at home, a toothbrush, for example, and are happy to have any type as long as it’s available any time of the day or night.

Since there is a normal type of supermarket in Puerto del Carmen next to the machine, anyone wanting something more specific may need to go there during opening hours instead.

Warum sind manche Palmen kahl?

Eine der seltsamen Dinge die wir auf Lanzarote bemerkt haben ist, dass manche Palmen aussehen als hätte man die äußere Schicht entfernt, während bei anderen  die “Rinde” noch dran ist.

Hier sind zwei Beispiele:
