My favourite restaurant here is the Bolivian restaurant in Budenheim – which is about one hour away from Oberursel by car.

Specialities from Bolivia include Pique a lo macho and Aji de pollo. Pique can by mild or hot, but even then it is adjusted to the German taste buds – in reality it’s a lot hotter! The main spice is called locoto and us usually ground up to make a powder. Don’t even think of trying it in it’s original state!

The restaurant soon fills up at the weekend, so book to avoid disappointment!

I haven’t recommended a restaurant for some time now, so today I’m going to write about the Chinese buffet at “Mayflower” in Oberursel.

The buffet is smaller than the one in Nord-West-Zentrum, but still offers a good selection and the food is good quality. The evening buffet also has ice cream available.

However, at the time of writing the midday buffet costs 7,90EUR and the evening one 13,90EUR per person, which I consider to be a little expensive considering the choice of dishes available.  That’s why we only go there on special occasions.
Parking space is available behind the restaurant or in the surrounding streets.
