Interesting study. Although far from “training them to use technology which hasn’t yet been invented”, our local authority still allows school children to surf the web with Windows XP!
And yes, too much is spent on technology IMHO if the budget for smartboard support in a school is about 6x the budget for the rest of the maintenance in the building.
(Please don’t spend less on it, increase the maintenance budget instead!)
