Lanzarote Guidebook – Herbst 2011

Die Herbstausgabe des Reiseführers “Lanzarote Guidebook” kann man jetzt kostenlos herunterladen und hat schon wieder mehr als 100 Seiten!

Er gilt über die Monate bis November. Der Reiseführer enthält Informationen über die Veranstaltungen und Hauptattraktionen auf Lanzarote. Sie beinhaltet auch Karten der Stadtzentren, um bei der Orientierung zu helfen und auch eine Rubrik “Essentials” – mit allen wichtigen Informationen, die man während des Urlaubs benötigen könnte.

Für jedes Urlaubsziel gibt es Ideen für Ausflüge, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und natürlich auch Information über die Strände.

Das Buch enthält außerdem eine große Zahl an ganzseitigen Fotos, die einem schon Lust auf den nächsten Urlaub machen sollen.

Lanzarote Guidebook – Autumn 2011

The Autumn edition of the Lanzarote Guidebook is now available as a free download and once again it is over 100 pages long!

Covering the months up to November, the guidebook contains information about local events as well as the main attractions on Lanzarote. It also includes maps of the main town centres to help you get around and an “Essentials” section with all the basic information that you are likely to need during your stay.

For each of the main resorts there are ideas for things to do and see, places to eat and of course details of the beaches.

The book also includes a large number of full-page photos, to get you looking forward to your next holiday on the island!

Lippi-Bekenntnisse – a different look at life in the GDR

Lippi-Bekenntnisse - Unverblümte Plauderein über ein authentisches LebenIt is now 15 years ago that I made my first trip into what used to be East Berlin.  I was there to solve a problem with a computer belonging to someone who I have been in contact with ever since and recently visited at the Störtebeker Festspiele on the island Rügen – singer and television presenter Wolfgang Lippert.

I had only been living in Germany for a year and although I was aware of the significance of whose computer I was looking at in terms of how important the customer was for my employer, only recently have I discovered the significance of the person behind it for the former East Germany’s show business industry.  This I have to thank to his autobiography Lippi-Bekenntnisse.

Rather than being just another autobiography of a German celebrity, Lippi-Bekenntnisse gives an inside look into the way that the entertainment business worked in the GDR from someone who was part of it in quite a unique way.  Reading it made me realise how little I know about that part of Germany’s history.
