Where to get the train-shaped balloons at the Hessentag

For the past few days I have noticed that a lot of children at the Hessentag have been carrying helium-filled balloons that are shaped like the S-Bahn trains that stop at Oberursel’s main station.

Today I found out just how popular they are.  Once my daughter had one flying behind her, people kept stopping us to ask where to get them.

An S-Bahn balloon from the Hessentag in Oberursel

So here is the answer:

the balloons are being given away at the Deutsche Bahn stand at the entrance to Hall 2 in the Landesausstellung.

To get there, take the U-Bahn to Stadtmitte and then walk away from the town along the Hessentagsstraße.  The Landesausstellung is at the end of the road past a running track on the right-hand-side.
