Fire in restaurant in the Liebfrauenstraße

The fire brigade were called to a restaurant in the Liebfrauenstraße in the early hours of Wednesday morning (1st May, 2013) after smoke was seen coming out of the shutters.

The cause of the blaze, which took place near the bar but caused smoke damage to other rooms as well, is as yet unknown and detectives from Bad Homburg are carrying out an investigation.

Around 30 members of the fire brigade attended the incident, along with two police cars, and the Liebfrauenstraße was closed between the Feldbergstraße and Adenaueralle for 2 hours.

No one was injured, but the damage is estimated to be around €75,000.
