U-Bahn replaced with buses in Frankfurt in July

Due to work taking place on the line, the U-Bahn U3 will not be able to travel the entire length of the line to Frankfurt-Südbahnhof.

From Saturday, 1st July until Sunday, 16th July, 2017, the U3 will terminate at Heddernheim.  There, a replacement bus service will take passengers to Hügelstraße.  The section between Hügelstraße and Südbahnhof will operate as a shuttle service.

From Monday, 17th July until Sunday, 30th July, 2017, the U3 will terminate Hügelstraße.  A replacement bus service will take passengers to Dornbusch from where the shuttle service will continue to Südbahnhof.

To get to the centre of Frankfurt quicker, it may be better to take the S-Bahn S5 from Oberursel.  To reach some parts of the city, a better alternative may be to change to the U9 in Niederursel, travel to Ginnheim, and then take the tram line 16.
