There will be a book flea market in Oberursel’s library on Saturday, 3rd January, 2015 between 10am and 1pm with proceeds going to the library’s supporters’ association.
The library is located at one end of the market square in Oberursel, in the Eppsteinerstraße.
The nearest car parks are “Bleiche” and in the Holzweg. The nearest train station is Altstadt (U3).
A tour of the old town (Altstadt) part of Oberursel is being offered on Saturday, 3rd January, 2015 at 2pm.
The tour starts in front of the Vortaunusmuseum at the Marktplatz at 2pm and costs €3 per person.

A 3,000 step walk for senior citizens is taking place in Stierstadt on Tuesday, 23rd December, 2014.
To take part, be at the bus stop “Altes Rathaus” in Stierstadt at 3pm.
Blood can be donated at the fire station in Weißkirchen (part of Oberursel) on Friday, 26th December, 2014 between 1pm and 5pm. The fire station is located at Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Strasse 2a.
To donate you must be healthy and between 18 and 68 years of age. If you have not donated before, then you must not be over 60. You must take some form of identification with you, such as a passport, that contains a photo.

A long-awaited moment in Oberursel will finally arrive on Saturday morning when the new indoor swimming pool opens its doors to the public for the first time at 10am.
To give everyone a chance to try the new pool out, visitors can swim for free for two hours on Saturday, 20th December and Sunday 21st December, 2014, between 10am and 9pm. [Read more…]
There will be a large book flea market in Oberursel’s library on between Wednesday, 17th and Saturday, 20th December, 2014 with proceeds going to the library’s supporters’ association.
This market takes place on the 1st floor and has a larger selection of books than the monthly one, so there are usually foreign-language books there as well.

The monthly flea market in the Adenauerallee in Oberursel will take place on Saturday, 20th December, 2014 between 7am and 1pm.
The flea market starts at the end of the pedestrian zone and continues the length of the Adenauerallee and over the railway lines towards Bommersheim. One part also takes place in the Nassauer Straße next to the U-Bahn tracks.
To get there by train take either the line U3 or S5 to Oberursel’s main station.
The Verbraucherzentrale (consumers’ association) will be offering individual energy saving consultations in the Rathaus in Oberursel on Thursday, 18th December, 2014.
Appointments cost €5 for 30 minutes, and €2.50 for each 15 minutes after that. They need to be arranged in advance by calling 06171 502-310.
The Wiederholtstraße in Oberursel’s old town will be closed to traffic on December 18th and 19th to allow a mobile crane to be erected.
