The CluGeHu (Karnevalsverein Club Geselligkeit Humor Weißkirchen 1952 e.V.) is holding a carnival party for children in the Turnhalle in Weißkirchen (Oberurseler Straße 16) on Saturday, 14th February, 2015 at 2.31pm.
Doors open at 2.11pm and entry costs €2 per person.
Frohsinn’s “Große Garde”
The Karnevalverein Frohsinn is holding a carnival party for children at the hall in the Frohsinnweg on Saturday, 14th February, 2015 at 2.11pm.
Doors open at 1.11pm and entry costs €1.50 per person.
The annual carnival Karnevalssitzung in the St.Hedwig’s community in Oberursel is being held on Saturday, 14th February, 2015 in the Hedwigsheim (Freiherr-vom-Stein-Str. 8a).
The motto is “Polonaise Oppidum-hier lachen sich die Kelten krumm”, ie. here is where the Celts laugh.
Music is being provided by Klaus Schneider.
The event begins at 20:11, doors open at 19:11 and tickets costs €10.
A 3,000 step walk for senior citizens is taking place in Stierstadt on Tuesday, 10th February, 2015.
To take part, be at the bus stop “Altes Rathaus” in Stierstadt at 3pm.
Blood can be donated at the Red Cross in Oberursel on Saturday, 14th February, 2015 between 1.30pm and 6pm. The Red Cross is located at Marxstraße 28, opposite the U-Bahn station “Lahnstraße”.
To donate you must be healthy and between 18 and 68 years of age. If you have not donated before, then you must not be over 60. You must take some form of identification with you, such as a passport, that contains a photo.

The musikhalle portstrasse is holding a “Friday night Jam Session” on Friday, 13th February, 2015 at 8pm.
Entry is free.
The “musikhalle” is located opposite the U-Bahn station “Altstadt” on the U3 line.
Tuesday night is film night at Bluebox Portstraße, located near the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
As the organisation is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. For Tuesday, 10th February, 2015, we are told that it will be a “New German Film”. If you do want to know which film will be shown then call 06171 636930 and they will tell you.
The showing starts at 9pm.

The Bommersheim Carnival Club (BCV) is holding a carnival party for children at the Burgwiesenhalle on Sunday, 8th February, 2015 at 3.11pm.
Doors open at 2.11pm, entry costs €3 for adults and is free for children.
The Verbraucherzentrale (consumers’ association) will be offering individual energy saving consultations in the Rathaus in Oberursel on Thursday, 5th February, 2015.
Appointments cost €5 for 30 minutes, and €2.50 for each 15 minutes after that. They need to be arranged in advance by calling 06171 502-310.
