The Verbraucherzentrale (consumers’ association) will be offering individual energy saving consultations in the Rathaus in Oberursel on Thursday, 17th November 2016.
Appointments cost €5 for 30 minutes, and €2.50 for each 15 minutes after that. They need to be arranged in advance by calling 06171 502-310.
The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be offering an afternoon of Bingo on Thursday, 17th November 2016 between 2.30pm and 4.30pm in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9).
Anyone who is interested is invited to come along and try their luck!

A 3,000 step walk for senior citizens is taking place in Weißkirchen on Wednesday, 16th November 2016.
To take part, be at the “Altes Rathaus” (Urselbachstraße 59) at 9.30am.
Tuesday night is film night at Bluebox Portstraße, located near the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
As the organisation is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. For Tuesday, 15th November, 2016, we are told that it will be a “ Japanese film about food“. If you do want to know which film will be shown then call 06171 636930 and they will tell you.
The showing starts at 9pm.
A crane being erected in front of house number 3 in the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Strasse will mean that the road becomes a no-through-road between 8am and 5pm on Wednesday, 9th November and Tuesday, 15th November, 2016.
Vehicles will not be able to pass this point. Pedestrians and cyclists will, however, be able to pass.
The story “Drei miese, fiese Kerle” by Paul Maar and Susanne Opel-Götz is being read in the library on Thursday, 10th November, 2016 at 3.30pm by volunteer Edith Nikel-Ruppmann.
Tickets cost €2 and should be reserved in advance in the library or by calling 06171 62870.
Friday night is music night at Musikhalle Portstraße, located near the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
On Friday, 11th November, 2016, the metal bands “Sindustry”, “JUEL G.” and “Shoot The Day Down” will be playing, starting at 8pm.
Entry costs €6.
Blood can be donated at the Red Cross in Oberursel on Friday, 11th November 2016 between 3.30pm and 8pm. The Red Cross is located at Marxstraße 28, opposite the U-Bahn station “Lahnstraße”.
To donate you must be healthy and between 18 and 68 years of age. If you have not donated before, then you must not be over 60. You must take some form of identification with you, such as a passport, that contains a photo.
