A 3,000 step walk for senior citizens is taking place in Stierstadt on Tuesday, 13th March 2018.
To take part, be at the bus stop “Altes Rathaus” in Stierstadt at 3pm.
Friday night is music night at Musikhalle Portstraße, located near the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
On Friday, 9th March 2018, the bands “frisch gepresst” and “Toasted” will be playing.
Doors open at 8pm for a 8.30pm start and entry costs €11.
On Saturday, 10th March, 2018 there will be a tour of the area in Oberursel known as “Camp King” with local town guide Sylvia Struck.
The tour covers the history of the area from the Reichssiedlungshof in the 1930s, through the time of the Auswertestelle West up to the end of the U.S. Army presence in the town.
The meeting point is at the “Kinderhaus” in the Jean-Sauer-Weg at 2pm, and the tour costs 3EUR.
This is an interesting opportunity for local residents to learn more about the history of the area that they live in.

The Seniorentreff in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9) will be holding a breakfast buffet on Friday, 9th March, 2018 between 9am and 10.30am, with food and drink costing €6 per person.
To take part, register in advance by calling 06171 585333 and leave a message on the answerphone if necessary.
Blood can be donated at the Red Cross in Oberursel on Friday, 9th March, 2018 between 3.30pm and 8pm. The Red Cross is located at Marxstraße 28, opposite the U-Bahn station “Lahnstraße”.
To donate you must be healthy and between 18 and 68 years of age. If you have not donated before, then you must not be over 60. You must take some form of identification with you, such as a passport, that contains a photo.

Tuesday night is film night at Bluebox Portstraße, located near the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
As the organisation is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. For Tuesday, 6th March, 2018, we are told that it will be a German film. If you do want to know which film will be shown then call 06171 636930 and they will tell you.
The showing starts at 9pm.
Due to the amount of ice and snow on the ground the weekly market on this coming Saturday, 3rd March, 2018, will be moved to the Epinayplatz.
