Town Hall Key returned

As is the tradition on Ash Wednesday, Prince Karsten I. returned the key to the town hall to Mayor Hans-Georg Brum, having won it off him at the Rathaussturm 11 days earlier.

The Stadtschlüssel – literally the “town key” – was presented by way of thanks for the good co-operation between the town and the local army during the Hessentag in Oberursel last year.  The key itself was used during the event and can open any of the bollards in the town.

The presentation took place in the army tent at the Hessentag in Wetzlar.
