A 41 driver from Frankfurt was heading along the L3024 road from the Sandplacken towards the Feldberg on Saturday, 2nd November, 2013 in the afternoon, when for some unknown reason he came off the road.

When the road went round to the left, he came off the right-hand side, first entering a ditch on the side of the road before hitting a tree.

The driver along with his passenger – a visitor from Korea – were both trapped in the car.  They were freed by the driver of another car and the ambulance crew, after which the driver was taken to the hospital in Bad Homburg

His passenger was taken to the university clinic in Frankfurt.  Police are investigating the accident.
