“Ich war eine glückliche Frau” (I was a happy woman) is a film being shown tonight, Wednesday 18th October, 2017, on ARD.
Parts of the film were shot in Oberursel in the areas around the Altenhöferweg, Schulstraße and the Strackgasse.

Once a month the Bluebox Portstraße holds a Sunday morning breakfast buffet in their cinema.
As the organisation is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. For Sunday, 22nd October 2017, we are told that it will be a British film. If you do want to know which film will be shown or to reserve tickets call 06171 636930.
The showing starts at 11.30am and they are located opposite the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
The monthly flea market in the Adenauerallee in Oberursel will take place on Saturday, 21st October 2017 between 7am and 1pm.
The flea market starts at the end of the pedestrian zone and continues the length of the Adenauerallee and over the railway lines towards Bommersheim. One part also takes place in the Nassauer Straße next to the U-Bahn tracks.
To get there by train take either the line U3 or S5 to Oberursel’s main station.
The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be holding a Stammtisch on Friday, 20th October, 2017 between 5pm and 8.30pm in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9).
The Stammtisch is a place to discuss anything and everything that those attending wish to.
A charge of €7 per person will be made to cover the cost of food and drink and due to the limited number of places reservation by telephone (06171 585333) is requested.

The Verbraucherzentrale (consumers’ association) will be offering individual energy saving consultations in the Rathaus in Oberursel on Thursday, 19th October 2017.
Appointments cost €5 for 30 minutes, and €2.50 for each 15 minutes after that. They need to be arranged in advance by calling 06171 502-310.
The musikhalle portstrasse is holding a “Friday night Jam Session” on Friday, 19th October, 2017, at 8pm.
Entry is free.
The “musikhalle” is located opposite the U-Bahn station “Altstadt” on the U3 line.
