A tour entitled “Das keltische Leben am Fuße des Feldbergs” (celtic life at the foot of the Feldberg) is being held on Saturday, 9th June, 2012 at 2pm.
The tour starts at the Taunus Information Centre and costs €5 per person, those taking part should have sturdy footwear.
The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be holding a flea market and advent bazaar on Saturday, 9th June, 2012 between 9am and 1pm in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9).
They will also be serving coffee, tea, cold drinks, grilled sausages and home-made waffles.
Blood can be donated at the Red Cross in Oberursel on Saturday, 9th June, 2012 between 1.30pm and 6pm. The Red Cross is located at Marxstraße 28, opposite the U-Bahn station “Lahnstraße”.
To donate you must be healthy and between 18 and 68 years of age. If you have not donated before, then you must not be over 60. You must take some form of identification with you, such as a passport, that contains a photo.

The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be offering a 3,000 step walk on Wednesday, 6th June, 2012.
To take part, be at the Christuskirche in the Oberhöchstädter Straße at 3pm.
This weekend sees the annual Brunnenfest (Fountain festival) in Oberursel return after missing a year due to the Hessentag.
The festival runs from Friday 1st June until Monday 4th June 2012.
There will be music on stage at the Markplatz from Friday evening onwards and throughout most of the weekend, with a funfair atmosphere at the Bleiche and lots of stands selling food and drink inbetween the Bleiche and the Vorstadt.
An area for children called the Kindermeile will be open on Saturday afternoon from 3pm, and a yellow duck race on the Ursulbach on Sunday afternoon.
The festival closes at 10.30pm on Monday evening with a firework display.
There will be a book flea market in Oberursel’s library on Saturday, 2nd June 2012 between 10am and 1pm with proceeds going to the library’s supporters’ association.
The library is located at one end of the market square in Oberursel, in the Eppsteinerstraße.
The nearest car parks are “Bleiche” and in the Holzweg. The nearest train station is Altstadt (U3).
A tour of the old town (Altstadt) part of Oberursel is being offered on Saturday, 2nd June, 2012 at 2pm.
The tour starts in front of the Vordertaunusmuseum at the Marktplatz at 2pm and costs €3 per person.
The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be holding a Stammtisch on Friday, 1st June, 2012 between 5pm and 8.30pm in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9).
The Stammtisch is a place to discuss anything and everything that those attending wish to.
The station in Oberursel is being officially re-opened on Saturday, 26th May, 2012 at 11pm, and to celebrate a Bahnhofsfest is being held on Saturday and Sunday.
The station itself is easy to get to, as it serves both the S-Bahn (S5), U-Bahn (U3) and also a number of bus routes.
On both days there will be tours of the renovated station building, a miniature steam railway, a bouncy castle and goal shooting.
There will also be demonstrations by the dance school, a children’s disco at 3pm on Saturday afternoon, and a big party throughout the building from 8pm on Friday evening. Apparently they will also be showing the Eurovision Song Contest in one of the rooms!
Helen Doron Early English will be offering a “picture book cinema” version of the The Gruffalo on Saturday at 4pm, an “interactive theatre” version of The Rainbox Fish on Sunday at 4pm, and a “Sing & Dance” on both days at 5pm.
The Verbraucherzentrale (consumers’ association) will be offering individual energy saving consultations in the Rathaus in Oberursel on Thursday, 31st May, 2012 between 2pm and 6pm.
Appointments cost €5 for 30 minutes, and €2.50 for each 15 minutes after that. They need to be arranged in advance by calling 06171 502-310.
