The bluebox portstrasse will be showing a film for children aged 8 and over on Friday, 6h January 2017 at 3pm. As it is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. If you do want to know which film will be shown then call 06171 636930 and they will tell you.
The bluebox is located opposite the U-Bahn station “Altstadt” (formerly “Portstraße”).
Blood can be donated at the fire station in Weißkirchen (part of Oberursel) on Monday, 26th December, 2016 between 1pm and 5pm. The fire station is located at Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Strasse 2a.
To donate you must be healthy and between 18 and 68 years of age. If you have not donated before, then you must not be over 60. You must take some form of identification with you, such as a passport, that contains a photo.

The monthly flea market in the Adenauerallee in Oberursel will take place on Saturday, 17th December 2016 between 7am and 1pm.
The flea market starts at the end of the pedestrian zone and continues the length of the Adenauerallee and over the railway lines towards Bommersheim. One part also takes place in the Nassauer Straße next to the U-Bahn tracks.
To get there by train take either the line U3 or S5 to Oberursel’s main station.
The Seniorentreff in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9) will be holding a breakfast buffet on Friday, 16th December 2016 between 9am and 11am.
To take part, register in advance by calling 06171 585333 and leave a message on the answerphone if necessary by Tuesday the week before.
A 3,000 step walk for senior citizens is taking place in Stierstadt on Tuesday, 13th December 2016.
To take part, be at the bus stop “Altes Rathaus” in Stierstadt at 3pm.
The story “Der Mondscheindrache” by Cornelia Funke is being read in the library on Thursday, 15th December, 2016 at 4pm by volunteer Edith Nikel-Ruppmann.
Tickets cost €2 and should be reserved in advance in the library or by calling 06171 62870.
The Verbraucherzentrale (consumers’ association) will be offering individual energy saving consultations in the Rathaus in Oberursel on Thursday, 15th December 2016.
Appointments cost €5 for 30 minutes, and €2.50 for each 15 minutes after that. They need to be arranged in advance by calling 06171 502-310.
