Police looking for man who attacked bus driver

Detectives in Bad Homburg are asking members of the public to help them identify a man who is a accused of attacking a bus driver in Oberursel last year.  A court in Frankfurt has given them permission to release pictures taken from the onboard CCTV cameras.

On Thursday, 2nd February, 2017, a man boarded the X27 bus in Ober-Erlenbach at the “Spessartstraße” bus stop at around 6.23am.  The X27 is an express route that connects Karben with Königstein.  He sat down near the front of the bus where he stayed until it reached the “Nassauer Straße” stop in Oberursel around 6.52am.

Shortly after leaving this stop the man got up and went to the 70-year-old bus driver, hitting him in the face with his right fist.  The driver was hit near his right eye. [Read more…]

Bus driver attacked in Oberstedten

A bus driver in Oberstedten suffered lacerations after being attacked by two young men on Sunday, 22nd December, at around 9.20pm.

An argument had broken out between the driver and the two passengers after they had started hitting the windows inside the bus.  After the men left the bus in the Bergweg they continued to bang on the windows from the outside, at which point the driver also got out to have words with them.

A fight ensued and the 45-year-old driver was hit in the face a number of times.  As a result of his injuries he was taken to hospital for stitches.

The men are both described as being between 19 and 22 years old, 1.80m tall, and wearing dark clothes.  After the attack they both quickly left the scene and police have as yet been unable to trace them.
