Tuesday night is film night at Bluebox Portstraße, located near the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
As the organisation is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. For Tuesday, 5th February, 2013, we are told that it will be a “drama”. If you do want to know which film will be shown then call 06171 636930 and they will tell you.
The showing starts at 9pm.
The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be offering a 3,000 step walk on Wednesday, 6th February, 2013.
To take part, be at the Christuskirche in the Oberhöchstädter Straße at 3pm.
The bluebox portstrasse will be showing a film for children aged 6 and over on Friday, 1st February, 2013 at 2.45pm.

Congratulations to Herr Wolfgang Aschemann of Oberursel who is 90 years old today.
There will be a book flea market in Oberursel’s library on Saturday, 2nd February, 2013 between 10am and 1pm with proceeds going to the library’s supporters’ association.
The library is located at one end of the market square in Oberursel, in the Eppsteinerstraße.
The nearest car parks are “Bleiche” and in the Holzweg. The nearest train station is Altstadt (U3).
A tour of the old town (Altstadt) part of Oberursel is being offered on Saturday, 2nd February, 2013 at 2pm.
The tour starts in front of the Vortaunusmuseum at the Marktplatz at 2pm and costs €3 per person.
The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be holding a flea market on Saturday, 2nd February, 2013 between 9am and 1pm in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9).
They will also be serving coffee, tea, cold drinks, grilled sausages and home-made waffles.
Due to the amount of ice and snow on the ground the weekly market on this coming Saturday, 26th January, 2013, will once again be moved to the Epinayplatz.
A young woman travelling in the S-Bahn S5 on Monday evening (21st January, 2013) was threatened by a man with a gun.
The man, described as athletic, dark skinned, aged between 30 and 40, and approximately between 1.90m and 2.00m tall with dreadlocks, pointed a pistol towards the woman, the reason for which is as yet unknown. He was wearing a black jacket, a dark coloured wollon hat, beige-coloured shoes and had a sports bag with him.
The incident happened just before the train arrived at the station in Stierstadt at around 9.10pm. The woman left the train at the station in Oberursel and the man remained on board to travel to Bad Homburg or further.
Police are asking anyone who can help them identify the man to call them on 06171 62400.
Police in Oberursel are trying to trace the owner of a gold coin that was found in connection with an enquiry into a jewellery theft.
The coin bears the town’s coat of arms on one side and the “Rahmtor” on the other. The inscription reads “Oberursel – Die 500 jährige Stadt im Taunus”
