A 3,000 step walk for senior citizens is taking place in Stierstadt on Tuesday, 24th May, 2016.
To take part, be at the bus stop “Altes Rathaus” in Stierstadt at 3pm.
Tuesday night cinema at Bluebox Portstraße

Tuesday night is film night at Bluebox Portstraße, located near the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
As the organisation is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. For Tuesday, 24th May, 2016, we are told that it will be an Indie-Film. If you do want to know which film will be shown then call 06171 636930 and they will tell you.
The showing starts at 9pm.

Jazz meets mills – Jazz meets Mühle

“Jazz meets Mühle” is being held for the fifth time this year, and is again being held on Whitmonday, 16th May 2016, and involves as always the mills along the Mühlenwanderweg.
At five places along the route there will be jazz bands playing, with refreshments available and a chance to see the historical buildings from a new perspective.
Although the event itself will be taking place between 11am and 5.30pm, the bands are playing at different times along the route, allowing visitors to experience each one in turn. [Read more…]
Flea Market in the Adenauerallee

The monthly flea market in the Adenauerallee in Oberursel will take place on Saturday, 21st May 2016 between 7am and 1pm.
The flea market starts at the end of the pedestrian zone and continues the length of the Adenauerallee and over the railway lines towards Bommersheim. One part also takes place in the Nassauer Straße next to the U-Bahn tracks.
To get there by train take either the line U3 or S5 to Oberursel’s main station.
Energy saving advice

The Verbraucherzentrale (consumers’ association) will be offering individual energy saving consultations in the Rathaus in Oberursel on Thursday, 19th May, 2016.
Appointments cost €5 for 30 minutes, and €2.50 for each 15 minutes after that. They need to be arranged in advance by calling 06171 502-310.
Bingo at the Seniorentreff

The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be offering an afternoon of Bingo on Thursday, 19th May 2016 between 2.30pm and 4.30pm in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9).
