A number of changes have been made to the bus services in Oberursel as a result of new timetables that came into effect on 15th December, 2013.
All of the nr. 41 services are now connected to the nr. 7 services from Bad Homburg and from 2014 this will also service the new hospital being built there.
The evening bus service nr. 45 to Oberstedten has been extended to the Hans-Mess-Straße, where it connects with the new nr. 27 service to Bad Homburg.
On Saturdays and Sundays the nr. 41 service to Weißkirchen-Ost and nr. 42 service to Hauptfriedhof have been adjusted, meaning that there is a bus from Weißkirchen to the town centre approximately every 30 minutes.
The first and last trips of the day to Hauptfriedhof for the nr. 42 buses have been shortened and now terminate at “An der Waldlust”, due to a lack of demand.
Similarly, the stop “An den drei Hasen” will no longer be serviced by buses travelling to Weißkirchen-Ost.
The stop “Oberstedter Straße” has been renamed “Philipp-Reis-Straße” and “Langwiesenweg” has been renamed “Willy-Brandt-Straße“.
The Philipp-Reiss-Straße will be closed on Saturday, 23rd March, 2013 between 7am and 8pm to allow for a crane to be erected.
A 51 year old lorry driver was turning from the Philipp-Reis-Straße into the Marxstraße on Tuesday evening when the trailer came off the road and damaged two metal bollards.
The damage is estimated at 500 Euro.
