The monthly flea market in the Adenauerallee in Oberursel will take place on Saturday, 10th October 2015 between 7am and 1pm.
The flea market starts at the end of the pedestrian zone and continues the length of the Adenauerallee and over the railway lines towards Bommersheim. One part also takes place in the Nassauer Straße next to the U-Bahn tracks.
To get there by train take either the line U3 or S5 to Oberursel’s main station.
The musikhalle portstrasse is holding a “Friday night Jam Session” on Friday, 9th October, 2015, at 8pm.
Entry is free.
The “musikhalle” is located opposite the U-Bahn station “Altstadt” on the U3 line.
Blood can be donated at the Red Cross in Oberursel on Friday, 9th October 2015 between 3.30pm and 8pm. The Red Cross is located at Marxstraße 28, opposite the U-Bahn station “Lahnstraße”.
To donate you must be healthy and between 18 and 68 years of age. If you have not donated before, then you must not be over 60. You must take some form of identification with you, such as a passport, that contains a photo.

The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be offering a 3,000 step walk on Wednesday, 7th October 2015.
To take part, be at the Christuskirche in the Oberhöchstädter Straße at 3pm.
Tuesday night is film night at Bluebox Portstraße, located near the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
As the organisation is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. For Tuesday, 6th October 2015, we are told that it will be a “Black German Comedy”. If you do want to know which film will be shown then call 06171 636930 and they will tell you.
The showing starts at 9pm.
The bluebox portstrasse will be showing a film for children aged 6 and over on Friday, 2nd October 2015 at 2.45pm.

The bluebox is located opposite the U-Bahn station “Altstadt” (formerly “Portstraße”).
Congratulations to Herrn Albert Jung of Weisskirchen who is 90 years old today.
A tour of the old town (Altstadt) part of Oberursel is being offered on Saturday, 3rd October 2015 at 2pm.
The tour starts in front of the Vortaunusmuseum at the Marktplatz at 2pm and costs €3 per person.
The tower of St.Ursula’s Church in Oberursel will be open to the public on Saturday, 3rd October 2015 between 3pm and 5pm.
The tower contains a museum, the belfry and there is also access to the roof where you can get a breathtaking view across the town and its neighbours.
Entry costs €1.50 for adults and €1.00 for children.
The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be offering an afternoon of Bingo on Thursday, 1st October 2015 between 2.30pm and 4.30pm in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9).
