Gerhart-Hauptmann-Strasse blocked

Vehicles will not be able to pass this point.  Pedestrians and cyclists will, however, be able to pass.

 

Roadworks in the Kolberger Straße

Work on the gas and water mains in front of house numbers 8-10 will mean that vehicles will not be able to pass this point.  Pedestrians and cyclists will, however, be able to pass.

 

Road surfacing at “An den Drei Hasen”

The roads affected are:

  • Obere Zeil
  • Bertha-von-Suttner-Straße
  • Langwiesenweg
  • Willy-Brandt-Straße
  • Karl-Hermann-Flach-Straße

Schlenkergasse closed for two days

The Schlenkergasse in the town centre will be closed to traffic completely in front of house number 5 on Monday, 25th January, and Tuesday, 26th January, 2016, between 8am and 6pm.

Obergasse closed for a week

The Obergasse will be closed between Monday, 18th January, and Friday, 22nd January, 2016, to allow a water pipe to be installed.

Obergasse closed for two weeks

The Obergasse in Oberursel will be closed from Monday, 10th August, until Friday, 21st August, 2015 in front of house number 1 to allow for work on underground pipes to take place.

Bus stop in Oberhöchstadter Straße

Roadworks sign - ©Can Stock Photo Inc. / RedKoalaThe start of the school holidays on 27th July, 2015, also sees the start of work on the bus stop at the Rushmoorpark to make it more accessible.

With the project being financially supported by Land Hessen, the existing bus bay on the Feldbergschule side will be extended and fitted out with tactile elements.  The stop on the other side for travellers heading out of town will have a new bus shelter erected.  The work will also renew and improve the passenger protection system making it disabled friendly.

The work is set to take six weeks and cost around €140,000.

Diversion

Traffic travelling out of town will pass through a single lane through the roadworks, heading into town there will be a diversion along An der Heide, then Königsteiner Straße, and finally Füllerstraße.

Buses

Buses on routes 41, 252 and 261 will use the same diversion.  They will not stop at “Feldbergschule” when travelling into town.

Travelling out of town they will stop there, but the bus stop will be moved several metres further out from the town centre on the corner of the “Kronberger Straße”.

Taunusstraße partially closed from Monday

Roadworks sign - ©Can Stock Photo Inc. / RedKoalaThe Taunusstraße will be closed between the Pfaffenweg and Stierstadter Straße from Monday 16th February, 2015, until approximately mid-July, to allow for the road to be re-laid.  At the same time, one of the bus-stops will be extended and a road crossing improved.   Whilst the road is up the local electricity company are also planning to lay new cables.

Traffic will be diverted along the Pfaffenweg, Akazienstraße and Stierstadter Straße where parking restrictions will be in place.

The number 41 and 44 bus routes will also use the diversion, with the bus stop “Neugasse” being replaced by a temporary stop on the corner of the Akazienstraße an Platanenstraße.

Wiederholtstraße closed for two days

The Wiederholtstraße in Oberursel’s old town will be closed to traffic on December 18th and 19th to allow a mobile crane to be erected.

Freiligrathstraße closed until November

Traffic will be diverted along the Ebertstraße and An der Billwiese.  The Alexander-Hess-Straße will be one-way towards the Berliner Straße.
