A classical music concert is being held on the Rathausplatz on Tuesday, 2nd September, 2014 at 7.30pm.
Playing pieces by Vivaldi, Albinoni, Corelli, J.S. Bach, John Williams and others will be Katie Spencer (flute), Arun Kumar (guitar) and Holger Pusinelli (violin) along with the “Arco Concertante” orchestra made up of teachers from the town’s music school.

A gospel concert is being held on the Rathausplatz on Friday, 29th August, 2014 at 7.30pm.
The Frankfurter Gospelchor will be singing from their repetroire, including “oh Happy Day”, “Kumbayah” and “Go Tell it on the Mountain”, accompanied by pinao, percussion, bass and saxophone.

The 5th Oberursel Short Film Festival will be held as part of the “Orscheler Sommer” series of events on Saturday, 23rd August, 2014 at 8pm in Rushmoor Park.
Short films produced throughout Germany will be shown, with popcorn being sold to raise funds to restore a classic silent film.
A rock concert is being held on the Rathausplatz on Friday, 22nd August, 2014 at 7.30pm.
The bands playing will be:

Organised by local residents and part of the Orscheler Sommer, the party at the station took place between the 8th and 10th of August, 2014.

This weekend (8th-10th August, 2014) sees an unusual and exciting event take place at Oberursel’s station. As part of the Orscheler Sommer events, local residents, clubs and companies have got together to organise a weekend to “play and get to know each other”.
Already, three lorry loads of sand have been delivered to make a temporary sand pit for children to play in.
The fun starts on Friday when model of the station is going to be made using the sand. In the afternoon from 3pm onwards there will be storytelling, boule, petanque, games in the sand, a treasure hunt to take part in, and birds of prey to see. As part of the Orscheler Sommer series of events a concert by the band “Fehlgriff Orchester” is being held in Rushmoor Park on Tuesday, 5th August, 2014 at 7.30pm.
The band plays a mixture of swing, funk and rock.
Entry is free.
The start of the school holidays will see a techno party “open-air rave” take place in the Rushmoor Park on Saturday, 26th July, 2014 at 2pm.
Entry is free and budding DJs are invited to try their hand and present their own style.

As part of the Orscheler Sommer series of events the “Magic Monday Show” magicians will be performing in the Rushmoor Park on Friday, 25th July, 2014 at 7.30pm.
Their act includes a mixture of comedy, hypnosis, magic and music.
