Roads closed, trains and buses cancelled on 1st May

With both the cycle race “Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt” and the “Altstadt-Duathlon” taking place in Oberursel on Friday, 1st May, 2015, a number of roads will be closed with changes to public transport services as well.

The following roads will be closed or inaccessible between approximately 9.30am and 2pm:

  • The Elite group pass the U-Bahn level crossing on the Hohemarkstraße during the cycle race Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt on Thursday, 1st May, 2014.Homburger Landstraße (travelling towards Oberursel)
  • Nassauer Straße
  • Feldbergstraße
  • Eppsteiner Straße
  • Königsteiner Straße between the B455 and Altkönigstraße
  • Eppsteiner Straße
  • Neutorallee
  • Untere Hainstraße
  • Ackergasse
  • Wiederholtstraße
  • Marktplatz
  • Weidengasse
  • Strackgasse
  • Schulstraße
  • Am Rahmtor
  • Altkönigstraße
  • Marienstraße
  • Schillerstraße
  • Obergasse
  • An der Burg
  • Steinmühlenweg
  • Altenhöferweg
  • Clara-Schumann-Straße
  • Rotbornstraße
  • Gerhard-Hauptmann-Straße
  • Borkenberg
  • Hohemarkstraße
  • Kanonenstraße (L3004)
It will also not be possible to enter or leave Stierstadt or Weißkirchen from 9.30am until 1pm, except for the emergency services.
Anyone travelling on Friday should plan their journey in advance to avoid problems due to the closures, or park their car outside of the area in advance.
Public transport

The U-Bahn U3 will terminate at “Bahnhof Oberursel” between 8.30am and 2.30pm.  The last train towards Hohemark will leave the Südbahnhof at 7.15am, the last train from the Hohemark will leave at 8.03am.  The first trains to run after the race will leave Oberursel station towards Hohemark at 2.43pm and Hohemark at 3.03pm.

Buses 41 and 42 will not be running until after 2.20pm.
