Between 2am on Monday, 8th January and 3m on Monday, 15th January, 2018, there will be no trains travelling on the “A-Line” between Willy-Brandt-Platz and Südbahnhof.

The S-Bahn line S5 also connects Oberursel with the Hauptwache and is not affected by the changes.

On Saturday, 5th November, 2016 and Sunday, 6th November, 2016, between 7am and midnight the line will start as usual at Oberursel-Hohemark and continue towards Frankfurt.  After the “Wiesenau” stop, however, it will divert onto the U1 line and terminate at Ginnheim.

A bus shuttle service will be in operation between Heddernheimer Landstraße and Heddernheim.

To get to Frankfurt city centre, either use the bus connection and continue on the U-Bahn from Heddernheim, or continue in the U3/U1 to Ginnheim and change there to tram line 16.  Alternatively, use the S-Bahn S5 from Oberursel to Frankfurt.

U3 Trains terminating at Niederursel

From Saturday, 9th August until Saturday, 16th August, 2014, the U3 trains from Oberursel-Hohemark will only be travelling as far as Niederursel to allow for work on the rails to take place.

A replacement bus service will take passengers from Niederursel to Heddernheim in Frankfurt, from where the trains will continue as normal to the Südbahnhof.

However the bus will not be stopping at the stations Wiesenau and Zeilweg.

As the S-Bahn trains are also running a reduced service at present, getting to Frankfurt in the coming week will require a good deal of patience.

One alternative is to travel to Bad Homburg by car, and use the U-Bahn line U2 from Ober-Eschbach, as this is not affected by the disruptions.
