Car damaged on supermarket car park – witnesses sought

A 54-year-old driver of a blue BMW returned to his parked car in a supermarket car park in the Zimmersmühlenweg to discover scratches on the rear right-hand side bumper.

The car had been parked between 12.30pm and 1.30pm in the car park on Saturday, 18th January, 2014 and the cost of the damage is put at 700EUR.

As the person who caused the damage left without dealing with it, police in Oberursel are asking for witnesses to come forward and call them on 06171 62400.

One person injured in accident at Supermarket

One person was injured on Thursday, 9th January, 2014 in a road traffic accident at a supermarket car park.

A VW Bora travelling along the Hohemarkstraße at 5.30pm turned to enter a supermarket car park, however the 45-year-old driver failed to notice the 58-year-old pedestrian on the footpath at the entrance to the car park.

The pedestrian was knocked to the ground and suffered head injuries.  She was subsequently taken to hospital to be checked over.

Frankfurter Landstraße to be one-way for building work

Traffic travelling from Frankfurt to Oberursel will remain on the usual road, which will be reduced to a single one-way lane between the Ludwig-Erhard-Straße and the Kurmainzer Straße.

Traffic travelling from Oberursel to Frankfurt will be diverted via the Ludwig-Erhard-Straße, Oberurseler Straße and Kurmainzer Straße.

Delays are expected on this part of the road and as a consequence drivers are asked to allow extra time for their journeys.
