A number of accidents took place on the Kanonenstraße last Sunday afternoon (16th September, 2012), the road between Oberursel and the Sandplacken.

A 25 year old motorcyclist from Gießen lost control of his Honda in a bend to the right and ended up going off the left-hand side of the road.  He was unhurt, but caused €800 worth of damage.

In a separate accident in the “applause curve” a 64 year old Toyota driver came travelling uphill came into contact with an 18 year old Yamaha motorcyclist travelling downhill.  Both claim that the other person was on the wrong side of the road.

One of them was slightly injured, the damage to the vehicles is estimated at around €550.
