Safe stolen in the Zimmersmühlenweg

A safe was removed from a wall in a company office in the Zimmersmühlenweg on the night of 7th/8th January, 2014.

The video surveillance recording shows at least two men involved in the break-in, and it is not known how the managed to enter the premises.

The safe, measuring 35 x 35 x 25cm and weighing 31kg contained cash and a mobile phone.

Church office broken into

The church office of the St. Ursula community was broken into on the night of Saturday 15th / Sunday 16th June, 2013.  Thieves forced open the entrance to the building, causing around €1,000 of damage here alone.  According to police they then searched the building for valuables and discovered a safe which they took with them.  The safe contained cash, although the police report does not state how much was in the safe at the time.

Break-in at office caused more damage than loss

A break-in at an office in the street “In der Au” over the course of last weekend (19th-21st April, 2013) caused around €1,000 of damage.

According to police the thieves entered the building through a window in the basement before trying to open a safe.

When that failed they appear to have left with just a pair of gloves worth €1.99.

 

School broken into in the Zimmersmühlenweg

A school in the Zimmersmühlenweg was broken into last weekend between Friday 22nd and Monday 25th of March (2013).

The culprits broke a window and then entered the building looking for items of value.  In one of the rooms they found a safe which was fixed to a wall.  Although they were unable to open it they caused around €500 of damage.

Chemist shop broken into – witnesses sought

Detectives in Bad Homburg are asking people to come forward who may have witnessed a break-in at a chemist shop in the Adenauerallee on the night of 19th/20th March, 2013.

The thieves were able to get away with a safe containing cash and some medicines.  They entered the show by force through a side entrance before searching the shop and store areas.  The safe was stolen from one of the side rooms.  Police believe that due to the size of the safe (100x80x40cm) several people were necessary to transport it.  The damage caused is put at €250, although no information has been given as to the value of the contents.

Sicher im Netz? Being safe on the internet

Debate - ©Can Stock Photo Inc. / oneo2The library in Oberursel will be holding a talk called “Sicher im Netz” – how to be safe on the internet – for parents of primary school children on Tuesday, 13th September 2011 at 7.30pm.

Beate Kremser, a media educationalist, is the guest speaker and will be answering parents’ questions.

Entry is free, but anyone interested is asked to register at the library in advance.

The library is located at one end of the market square in Oberursel, in the Eppsteinerstraße.

The nearest car parks are “Bleiche” and in the Holzweg. The nearest train station is Altstadt (U3).
