The tunnel on the B455 between Oberursel-Nord and Oberursel-Hohemark will be closed to allow for the lights to be replaced on two nights next week.
On the 14th/15th and 15th/16th April the work will take place between 8pm and 5am.
Traffic from Kronberg or Königstein heading towards the A661 will be diverted along the Hohemarkstraße. Traffic heading towards those towns will be diverted along the Dornbachstraße.
The Hohemarkstraße is currently closed on one side to allow for work to take place on underground pipes. The closure is set to continue until 23rd April, 2014.
Traffic going out of the town is being diverted along either the Mainstraße or Heidegraben, and then along the Dornbachstraße.
Traffic going from the Hohemark towards the town centre can remain on the Hohemarkstraße.
The Taunusstraße in Stierstadt is currently one-way between Ursemer Straße and Pfaffenweg. Traffic travelling from the station towards Oberursel is being diverted along the Eichenstraße.
The roadworks are expected to last until 17th May, 2014, during which time the road will be re-surfaced, new pipes will be laid, and the road crossings will be upgraded to make them better accessible.
The bus routes 41, 44, 47 and 48 use the diversion in both directions. The bus stops “Reifenberger Straße” and “Pfaffenweg” have been re-located around the corner to take this into account.
The Philipp-Reis-Straße will be closed for re-surfacing from Tuesday, 25th Feburary, until Friday, 28th February, 2014.
Traffic will be diverted along the Hohemarkstraße, Steinmühlenweg and Marxstraße.
The Hospitalstraße will be closed in both directions in front of house number 20 on Thursday, 20th February and Friday, 21st February, 2014 to allow for re-surfacing work to take place.
Due to work on underground pipes the Obere Zeil will be closed until Thursday, 20th February, 2014.
The Weinbergstraße in Oberstedten will remain closed until 20th February, 2014, to allow work to take place on underground pipes.
The road is closed from the junction with the Friedrichstraße, however this road can still be used to access the Mariannenweg and the other end of the Weinbergstraße.
Roadworks will continue for a further month once the road is re-opened.
As a result of the closure, buses 41 and 45, along with the school buses 46, 48 and 49 diverted.
Numbers 41 and 45 will by-pass the road and continue from the Hauptstaße into the Niederstedter Straße, then to Hans-Mess-Straße before travelling to Bad Homburg. They will not stop at “Friedrichstraße”, “Weinbergstraße” or “Linde” and passengers should use “Mittelstedter Straße” and “Niederstedter Straße” instead.
The school buses 46 and 48 will start at the “Niederstedter Straße” stop before entering the Hauptstraße and continuing on their normal route.
Bus 49 will terminate at “Niederstedter Straße”.
Due to work on underground pipes in the Theodor-Heuss-Straße, the Kleiststraße can currently only be accessed via the Gerhard-Hauptmann-Straße.
The other end of the road is set to re-open at the beginning of March.
The Weinbergstraße in Oberstedten will be closed until 13th Feburary, 2014, to allow work to take place on underground pipes.
The road is closed from the junction with the Friedrichstraße, however this road can still be used to access the Mariannenweg and the other end of the Weinbergstraße.

A 40-year-old woman from near Weilburg was travelling along the “Kanonenstsraße” in a BMW just before 1am on Thursday, 9th January, 2014. At the 6.9km mark in one of the curves, the car left the road and rolled over, landing in a ditch. The driver suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital.
Accident investigators discovered that the driver was under the influence of a considerable amount of alcohol and did not have a driving license. A blood sample was taken, and the damage is estimated at around €10,000.
