More rubbish bins set alight

A number of rubbish bins, some of them containing paper rubbish, were set alight last week.

On the night of 5th August, 2013, several rubbish bins were set alight in “An den Drei Hasen” which caused damage to a neighbouring building.

In the early hours of Friday, 9th August, rubbish bins and a newspaper stand were set alight in the Hans-Mess-Straße in Oberstedten.  Three fire engines attended and a small transporter was also damaged by the flames.

Witnesses are asked to call detectives in Bad Homburg on 06172 1200.

Only weeks before a number of other rubbish bins and the red telephone box in the Rushmoor Park had been set alight.

B456 bridge repairs to take place

Roadworks sign - ©Can Stock Photo Inc. / RedKoalaThis week work will begin on renewing the B456 bridge near the Niederstedter Weg (the road between Oberursel and Dornholzhausen) which is expected to take until mid-October.

During this time traffic turning off the B456 onto the L3003 will be regulated by traffic lights which may cause some delays.

One possible detour to avoid the area would be via the Kanonenstraße (L3004), however this too will be closed at times between 20th and 23rd August, 2013, to allow for tree felling to take place.
